Will an “unlocked†cell phone purchased in Asia or Europe work in the US?
If you purchase an “unlocked†cell phone in Asia or Europe, can you bring it the US, put in the SIM chip of your US wireless carrier and have the phone work on that network? Or is it more complicated than that? There are some phone models not yet available in the USA.

yeah it will it's just like a normal phone

most of them will work, but not everywhere. america uses an older frequenci, and most of the phones sold in europe will never be sold in america. i have been able to use an n95 in urban areas of america, but have not tested them in rural parts.
