I can't wait to take my vacation all around Asia. I know there are some cat lovers here, but I am really excited to see what it tastes like. I know I can buy dog meat there too, but I like dogs and generally dislike cats.

What is a kingdom in southwest Asia that the inca conquest model resembles?
this is a question on tenth grade history crossword puzzle and i cannot seem to find the answer. The answer is 6 letters long and the 4th letter is supposed to be an S and the last an A. The only answer i can come up with is Romans...but that isn't in southwest Asia nor does it fit in accordance to the letters, however the teacher makes these puzzles himself and I have found many previous errors. I say Romans because the textbook does compare the Inca to the Romans a couple time.....

Fascinating : ) I would love to meet your history teacher. I would guess PERSIA (today's Iran). Back then Persia was one of the world's oldest major civilizations, with historical and urban settlements dating back to 4000 BC. I so want to know if this is the answer your teacher have in mind.

Cheapest airline tickets from California to Asia?

Cheapest airline tickets from California to Asia?
I'm planning a trip to go to Asia with my friends. How much would be the cheapest plane ticket to go to the Asian countries? We are in a tight budget and prefer to go to very cheap countries like Thailand, Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Bangladesh. I know prices may depend on the month, so when is the cheapest time to buy tickets? If you have a place you prefer, please do. Thanks.

You will have to shop around on the internet to get the best prices from Ca, the further out you book your ticket the cheaper you can get it..... Wouldnt bother trying to book all your tickets for your trip just the one to the first port of call and your return leg back to Ca (assume here you will be flying in and out of the same airport to and from CA) Inter-SEA flights are pretty cheap if you fly AirAsia etc and would think booking those flights once you are here would be the best bet..
2 :
calif - asia: try singapore airlines, cathay pacific, malaysia airlines, eva air, thai airways, china airlines, korean airlines. they do good deals from time to time. domestically in these countries, fly air asia, pacific air and nok air
3 :
Buy Philippine Airlines in advance, you get 30% off. Then from the Philippines go anywhere cheap in asia by jetstarasia.com or cebupacificair.com THEY have a PROMO rate this month...trully CHEAP!

I'm planning to visit Manila some time later this year and shopping at Mall of Asia is one of my itinerary. I would like to know what are the clothing stores or shoe stores (foreign and/or local) available? If u could give me a list, it be very helpful to me. :-)

You may want to see SM Mall of Asia directory in this link. http://www.charleskeng.com/SMAsia.htm
2 :
the link given by think tank should be enough. we cant name them all here. When you visit Mall of Asia, spend a minute or two at the entrance of the main mall and use the interactive directory to check the name and store location. Dont forget to drop by Kultura Filipino (2/F main mall) if you'd like to buy souvenir items, too (anything Filipino).
3 :
I last visited MOA in March last year, on my last visit :) There are all kinds of clothing stores...and shoe stores too! There really isn't anything you'll see there that is here in the U.S. malls. If you're from the U.S. My favorite stores was Kultura i think it was called? And Team Manila. They have souvieners that are really nice :) and team manila has cool t-shirts with Filipino things [: If your into that. Hope I helped...
4 :
there's a lot of clothing and shoes stores there. whether it is local or international. just go to the link posted by Think Tank. good luck! ! !

How can I fund raise $3000 dollars in two months to purchase plane tickets for a missions trip to Asia?
My husband and I are interested in going to Asia for a missions trip and we need about $2000-$3000 to pay for our plane tickets. We have to do our own fundraising to make this happen.

Unlike most work at home jobs this is one is really legit and actually sends real checks to you at the end of the month. I have already made over $2500+ from this website and keep it mind that everything is free.I will love to answer any questions that you might have regarding this just contact me: My email is RippedWalletFrancis@gmail.com My AIM RipWalletFrancis My blog http://rippedwalletguide.com

WELL YOU CAN GET A BAKE SALE TOGETHER AND COMBINE IT WITH A DONATIONS CAR WASH THAT IS ALWAYS A BIG HIT!
4 :
Buy lots of goodies and put them in a basket and raffle it off with 1-2dollar tickets you can sell them at high schools malls and down the street. make sure you make everybody know what it is fo and what you would be doing over there
5 :
Ask for it. There are a great number of religious mission system available to you. Contact your local worship leader, and explain your vision. He/she will usually direct you to the outreach portion of your nationwide faith. For the portion of your vision which matches those of your religion, there is usually funding available. My place of worship independently sponsors more than one mission per year, for ours is a plentiful house, and the wealth is shared, not coveted. Many of these sponsorships are not 100% of the required moneys, but they help. If all of this is done, and the amount you post is the matching for a grant, consider cleaning out yards. this time of year, great numbers of persons will repsond positively to this. you market in the evenings, presenting yourself, your goals, and your offer, and you arrive on a Saturday morning and haul away leaves, branches, and small items to your local recycling center. You need a trailer with hitch, some trash bags, hand tools, serious gloves, and sometimes dust masks. This activity is somewhat universal, which will also teach you something more about how to get around in the larger world toward which you plan. May you go with God.
6 :
Theres tons of ways to raise money for missionary trips. First off, talk to the church that is organizing the trip to find out what they are doing to raise money or if they can help you to be able to get your tickets. If you are still at a loss, ask local stores if they will allow you to put donation cans in their stores. Ask all Christian stores in town if they have ideas. Ask if they will donate items to be raffled. Sell handmade crafts and baked goods. Have a barbeque dinner and sell tickets. Considering the cause, you may even find people from within the church who will donate money to buy tickets. Ask your church if they will make announcements at services and allow people to make donations towards the tickets there at church. And remember if it is God's will that you and your husband are able to go on the trip, the funds will become available. You may also want to research missionary groups that travel to Asia, aside from the group you are going with and ask them if they may be able to help. Team up with other people who are planning to go on the trip also to get a larger group of people looking for donations. This will encourage people, because there will be people who may think that you are gathering money for yourself and not for a missionary trip. Good luck and God bless!
7 :
Take a offering for a special mission trip. Some churhes will give money for it.
8 :
Bake Sales Yard Sale Request Donations from friends and neighbors. Request Donations at church. Have details of the trip published in the Church bulletin so that people will know its for real and they can make a donation if they like. Ask the Church to take up a special collection for the trip. Part of the money from the collection goes to the church and part of it goes towards financing your trip.
9 :
1. Write a letter asking for prayer and financial support. Send it out to everyone you know. Give them details-people like that. Don't be afraid to send it out. God will provide! 2. See if your church will take up a special offering for you and your husband. You never know until you ask! 3. Do a yard sale-ask a bunch of people to donate nice things for a yard sale and let them know that the money is going to missions....also have a poster board made up with your info and a jar for people to donate. 4. Have people sponsor you for a "Walk to Asia"...or something like that Blessings on your trip!
10 :
sell cookies and say they are for charity
11 :
where in Asia? and from where? tickets are not that high prices in the winter. If you can't raise money or using your savings (which I guess you don't have)... don't go. There is more than just airfare. Food and lodging are usually not free. Mission (s)!!! are usually done by churches and the like and they pay for it.... It looks like you want to go on vacations.
12 :
Show your enthusiasm and love for the country you plan to visit. Talk to people (co-workers, librarians, your hairdresser) about the trip and why you want to go. Put together a letter with a picture of the two of you. (If you've done other mission work, a picture of the two of you in action would be good.) Describe the work you will be doing, the places you will visit, why you feel called to that particular place, and maybe even what you'll do when you get back. Have a couple of friends proofread and give you feedback on the tone. Print the letter on nice paper and send it to everyone you know. People have also set up websites to receive donations; I've never done that myself, but it would be faster than asking people to mail checks. Ask people to donate to this cause instead of giving holiday, anniversary, or birthday gifts. If you belong to a church with a national office, see whether they fund missions. They probably won't foot the entire bill, but even $50 helps, and you can say you are going with their support. Have a party in your home or in the church hall and ask for donations. Give it a theme and play some trivia games with facts about the country you plan to visit. Put up maps and pictures from magazines or the Internet. Promise donors to give a slide show when you get back (or email during the trip if you have time).

Hong Kong would be a great place to begin your tour, check www.discoverHongKong.com and enjoy!

Visit laos if u r backpacking its not touristy except Vang Vieng and thats just backpackers getting of their t*ts. The people are amazing and its a good place to chill after Thailand, u can then head down into Vietnam and Cambodia where u can meet some unfriendly people( my view) but all in all just head off anywhere each few days and just stop when u c a place that interests u.Av fun.

Prostitution in Thailand is illegal, but authorities mostly ignore it because it brings in so much foreign revenue. I have no doubt it's the same in neighboring countries. It doesn't carry the same stigma there as it does here. There, it's just an easy way to make a living and support your family by relieving tourists of their excess money.

Are there any parts of Asia where English is commonly spoken?

Are there any parts of Asia where English is commonly spoken?
I want to teach English for a year somewhere in Asia. I want to live somewhere where at least a small percentage of the population speaks English, but I can't figure out where to go. I am considering Japan and Indonesia because English is spoken in those places on occasion. Is there any Asian country, or maybe just a part of a country, where English is more common?
Languages - 8 Answers

1 :
Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India... those are my best guesses.
2 :
Hong Kong and Singapore. There are are also lots of English speakers in Kuala Lumpur and Shanghai.
3 :
Hong Kong
4 :
In the major cities of India, English is understood by many people. They won't normally speak to each other in English unless there is a foreigner present who might not understand their native language, but if you step into a crowd on the streets of Mumbai or Delhi and ask "Does anyone here speak English?" you will get lots of responses.
5 :
Hong Kong and Singapore, I would think. I can't really speak for Singapore, but since I live in Hong Kong, I can tell you that Hong Kong has a lot of English; the roads all have English names, the subway stops are in English, etc. etc. It has a lot more English than Japan (having been to both Tokyo and Osaka as a tourist), I can guarantee you that. Also, most of the people in Hong Kong can speak a dabble of English. It mostly depends on what area you want to live/work in; there are a lot of expats who live in Sai Kung or Discovery Bay. I've known people who live in Hong Kong for decades and can't speak a word of Cantonese; you can get by on just English in Hong Kong.
6 :
...To be honest, if English was more "common" in a certain area of Asia, then people would have already hired teachers to teach that language. If you want to teach there and live there without learning that country's language...here is some info: Your best teaching opportunity would probably be in China. Since they don't have English teachers already, I'm pretty sure that they would love to have a teacher teach there. On top of that, they are currently developing (which means economy=good). As for Hong Kong, English teachers wouldn't really be needed for everyday lessons; they'd only be necessary for tutoring. As for Korea and Japan, schools should already have English teachers. For living, Japan would not be the best place to live if you don't understand any Japanese. The best places to live without having to learn a foreign language would be Singapore. Most of the people there can speak and understand English. hope that helped :D
7 :
I know Hong Kong for sure
8 :
- singapore. there are only two languages spoken in singapore: chinese and english. most people there speak both fluently. - beijing+shanghai. nearly all of the newer generations can have at least a simple conversation in english.

Interesting.but Asia is a huge place and to give you an idea. India and Nepal (and maybe Bangladesh) are close together. Laos and Cambodia (together with Thailand and Vietnam) are at the southeast edge of that area. While the Philippines (with Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei are farther south). And any one of those three groups in my mind can be feasible. And you can add Taiwan, Hong Kong, parts of Japan and South Korea, which are bunched up to the north and even more eastern than all the three groups above.

China - 4 Answers

I myself is from Asia. I clearly know that overpopulation is a big problem for all the Asian people. First, less children or students can get good education because of overpopulation. Some students may be allowed to study at the university, and some may not. Second, the government may not able to cover health care for all the people, if there are too many people. e.g. in China, many people who do not have any regular job should pay the hospital by themselves, the government will not help these people. And of course, there are many more reasons. So, I hope my answer could help you a little bit.
2 :
One word..poverty
3 :
What are the consequences of overpopulation in the world should be the question. What happens in Asia affects the rest of the world. The short answer is: humans consume resources to sustain life. The more humans exist, the more resources needed, thus worsening the competition for resources both domestically causing imbalance between the haves and have nots, and bilaterally, creating political tension and wars. This also cause massive immigration both legal or not from poor to rich countries. The effect on Earth, is that resources are consumed faster, producing ever higher pollution. Pollution rate is higher than the rate that earth can recycle them, thus permanently altering global climate, causing more natural disasters.
4 :
South Asia is the India region. So wat's this question doing under the China category? Anyway, China seems to have the answer for pop.control - the one child policy. Population does a lot of good too. It creates demand for goods and services and helps drive the economy. It's where country leaders fail to facilitate the huge population that a country becomes "over-populated". Do remember also that though developing countries have burgeoning populations, it's the developed countries that consume most of the world's resources.

Russia is closer to Alaska. The Bearing streats are only 55 miles wide, and there are two islands in the middle, only 2.5 miles apart.....Big Diomede in Russian territory, and Little Diomede in Alaska. Asia is a huge continent with many countries, were in Alaska and Where in Asia would you like the distance measured from?
3 :
The previous answerer is correct am just gonna add a little trivia about the cold war since the was an 'ice curtain" type of relationship between the U.S. and U.S.S.R. in fact U.S.S.R. as the previous answer said were only 2.5 miles apart During the Cold War, that gap constituted the border between the USA and the USSR, and became known as the "Ice Curtain". In 1987, however, Lynne Cox swam from one island to the other, and was congratulated by Mikhail Gorbachev and Ronald Reagan The U.S. island of Little Diomede or in its native language, Ignaluk (it is also known as Krusenstern Island, though this may also refer to other places), and The Russian island of Big Diomede (part of Chukotka Autonomous Okrug), also known as Imaqliq, Inaliq, Nunarbuk or Ratmanov Island. The Diomede Islands are located in the middle of the Bering Strait between mainland Alaska and Siberia, with the Chukchi Sea to the north and the Bering Sea to the south. 9.3 mi (15 km) to the southeast is Fairway Rock, which is generally not considered part of the Diomede Islands. The islands are sometimes called Tomorrow Island (Big Diomede) and Yesterday Isle (Little Diomede) because the time in Big Diomede is 20 hours (approximately a day) ahead of Little Diomede Big Diomede Island was traditionally the easternmost landmass before the International Date Line, and the first landmass to ring in a new year, if using local solar time. When using official time, a large area in eastern Russia, as well as New Zealand, shares the same time zone. New Zealand also has Daylight Saving time in effect during late December, but Russia does not (see time in New Zealand and time in Russia). Starting in 1995 however, the IDL was moved to the east of Kiribati and that country's easternmost time zone (GMT+14) is now the world's earliest. The native population of Big Diomede Island was relocated by the Soviet government to mainland Russia and the island is currently home to a small Russian military presence. Little Diomede has an Inupiat Inuit population of 170, mostly in the city of Diomede. This village has a school and a store. Some Inuit residents are famous for their ivory carving. Passenger travel and mail delivery is by helicopter, weather permitting

I'm a 17-year old from Canada, and some of my friends who have traveled through both Europe and Asia have told me that they are treated like uneducated hicks and called stupid Americans, even though they would prove they're Canadian. When Bush was president of USA, many people around the world thought all americans were as dumb as Bush and company. Obama, with Mrs Clinton's help has reversed much of that fuzzy thinking. Some young people are clannish and rude and the fact that your friends proved their nationality didn't change the closed minds of those people. When you start traveling the world on your own, you will discover that most people in most countries are friendly and courteous
2 :
Not necessarily. I'm European and to be honest, I know very little about Canada, other than it it next to America. I think the problem is that (and I know you will disagree) many people cannot tell the difference between the Canadian and American accent. Most people wouldn't judge you as a stupid American because not all Americans are stupid. I wouldn't worry, because most people are polite and well.mannered, and would not be so rude

Why are there so many tragic natural disaster happening in Asia?

Why are there so many tragic natural disaster happening in Asia?
2 years ago it was the Tsunami. Last December it was a cyclone in Bangladesh. And now a cyclone in Myanmar and an earthquake on China. Why on Asia all the time. We should be lucky we live in U.S that we don't have that much natural disaster.
Other - News & Events - 7 Answers

1 :
Don't forget that Asia is the largest continent and the events you mentioned are thousands of miles apart. We had Katrina here in the US.. eventually every part of the world will have some sort of natural disaster. Because of population density though, and poor infrastructure, many more people die in these Asian disasters than in the US (though 1,100 people died in Katrina).
2 :
First of all, it's the largest continent on Earth, therefore we should expect those disasters. Second, the span of the continent, from extremely mountainous regions to tons of coastline, make it vulnerable to all forms of disasters. Thirdly, many countries there lack the engineering resources of countries like the USA, therefore the natural disasters are typically more deadly (compare the recent earthquake in China with 12k+ deaths to earthquakes in California where the death toll is in single digits), thus will be reported to a stronger degree in the media.
3 :
You know, I think natural disasters have been happening for many years - it is just that now we pay more attention because we have instant access to information, and it is in front of our faces everytime we get on the internet. However, I do believe that natural disasters are increasing in frequency and intensity as a result of climate change - in general. And, we are experiencing our own problems in the U.S. I guess you don't live in Florida where they had 4 hurricanes breeze through in one year or in New Orleans where Katrina showed her wrath. Just this past week, tornadoes ripped through the midwest and killed a dozen or so people. We have our share of problems, and it will probably get worse in years to come.
4 :
Sorry what planet have you been on, the USA has tons of natural disasters per year.
5 :
One theory can be taken into consideration...unusual planet activities is happening on the outer parts of our solar system, evidence of a large foreign body in the area, supposedly the dark star called 'nemesis' or 'Planet X', which has a very unusual and deep space orbit. As it appoaches our planet, seismic activity and gravitational abnormalities take place. Scientists have found out by looking at rock layers , that a huge change in earth composition happens like clockwork every 'x' number of years..... I'm just giving u a different answer, doesn't necessarily mean I believe it:)...just keep an open mind!

How long will it take to file a petition of a U.S citizen for a spouse from asia?
We have a 2 years old son who's U.S citizen though we're not married at that time and just after two months, he got the passport. I'm married to him last december. He's scared that it'll take forever when he file a petiton for me. He's planning to file from asia. Is that a good idea? Why it takes so long in the process? I'd like to be with my husband and my son. I can't bear of seeing my son playing or talking without his father accompany. My husband and my son are u.s citizen. We meet him every two months so our baby knows his father well. And even acting like his father. I'm a mother and taking care of our baby..seeing him acting like my husband...... It's so much touching. I would like my husband to share our baby's early childhood life. I'm a family person. I miss my husband when my son is acting like his father. And i would like my son to learn some of good things from his dad. As i don't speak english well. Not as much educated as his father.

If you're traveling on your own, good, up to date rail info can be found on the man in seat 61: http://www.seat61.com/ Lonely Planet is one good source of information (but not the only or not always the best source) http://www.lonelyplanet.com/ Boots n All Travel Network does a great job of assembling blogs and destination experts from all over the world and is a good start for research http://www.bootsnall.com/ Hong Kong's tourism website is Discover Hong Kong, and it is rich with bits of information, not a lot of depth but also a good place to get ideas to research more in depth. Also recomendations for discount cards that really help in that espensive city! http://www.discoverhongkong.com/login.html Japan Guidebook is the same for light destination information: http://www.japanguidebook.com/ Don't leave out Frommers and Fodors, even if you're on a budget, these sites can help you research places, and they both have a "must-see" section that is helpful. A lot of people keep blogs while they're traveling, and their experiences are helpful. Travel Pod is one source to link up with other travelers' experience: http://www.travelpod.com/ Once you decide on destinations, Googling the destination should get you information from tour companies in Asia ans well as tour companies here. Feel free to use that information in your planning!

instant advice is that this is too much for the time you have if you are not careful. NZ alone takes at least two months for a look at both islands, and if you want to travel up to the Gold Coast from Sydney you also need at least three weeks. forget the websites to start; get down the library for some guidebooks and work out what you want to see. Asia is cheap; hostels in Oz and NZ run about $30 of the appropriate dollar each per night. Remember that the pound is quite sick at the moment.

Would the US sink a Korean ship to further their Asia policy?
North Korea seems to have plenty of reason to reconcile with the south, including 33% of what they use and eat. The one nation in the region who needs war and has been talking toughest there is the US, not really an Asian country, but the most armed in Asia. Did they do it in the Tonkin Bay incident? They seem gleeful to welcome hostlility to the region.

Watch and see, how it will work again this time -- loath to go to war, South Korea and the US will deliver some stuff (or ease existing sanctions) in return for North' nebulous promise to, for example, "do more" to "ensure maritime safety" or something like that. = The one nation in the region who needs war and = has been talking toughest there is the US Right -- because we aren't fighting two wars already, our current President is such a war-monger...

Well, right now I'm looking for volunteer opportunities for a high school student to volunteer overseas (preferably in Asia). I was just wondering if anyone know of any good opportunities for like grassroots volunteering (helping teach local kids English, volunteering in local villages, etc.) since I'm not very interested in those big programs where grassroots volunteering in rural isn't their main focus. If anyone knew of any programs like this, it'd be great since right now, I'm looking for opportunities in China and Taiwan.

How is the class system of ancient india

How is the class system of ancient india ( in terms of the law of manu) compared with social class divisions in other societies in asia?

I'm not sure how much detail you need. Is this for a university course or AP World Hist? It feels a lot like an AP World Hist essay assignment. Rather than write the essay for you I'll give you some general ideas and point you in the correct direction to find the answer yourself. :) If you are doing university research email me and I would be happy to give you many more details. To begin when you add the part about the "law of manu" it lets the reader know that you are referring to India's Vedic period. It is called the Vedic period because most of what we know about this time comes from Hindu religious texts called the Vedas. The "law of manu" is a supplementary arm of the Vedas. If you google "Manava Dharma Shastra" you will find tons of sepcific info. So, google "Vedic Society" to read about the caste system then google "Manava Dharma Shastra" if you need primary source documentation to support your thesis. When you compare Vedic social class division to other societies in Asia I would recommend using Shang or Zhou china as either would allow for many easy similarities and differences. For example, both have a rigid social class structure however the basis for these social class structures are very different. Hope this points you in the right direction. Shanmugave; Your statement "The laws of Manu do not lay down a class system of ancient India on the other hand it lays down a caste system which is peculiar to India." is very confusing and more than a little misleading. How can you say that the Laws of Manu do not lay down a class system and then go on to say in the same sentence that they lay down a caste system. A caste system IS A TYPE OF CLASS SYSTEM.....
2 :
The laws of Manu do not lay down a class system of ancient India on the other hand it lays down a caste system which is peculiar to India. The caste system evolved from tribal society by inter marriage with the other tribe by conquest or by mutual self interest. Whereas other societies in Asia are based on economic disparities only which disparity is based on human potentials. This discrepancy may be due to the fact that India is a country of immigrants from all over the would for the past several thousand years. The descendants of schedule tribes only are the original natives of India. Each group of migrants were from different races and also from various geographical locations. Each group of migrants especially the minority group claimed to be superior in status by virtue of their culture and language to the other group as well as to the original inhabitants of India ie Adivasi. Whereas the other societies in Asia majority of whom belonged to one race predominantly Mongoloid as in the Far East. Further each nation had one language that was spoken by the majority of the population such as Mandarin in china. That is why India cannot survive without real democracy with assured equality and liberty for every group.Economic growth and prosperity should percolate to each and every group with human potential.
3 :
There was never a class system in ancient India! However there was a CASTE system, that was abolished about two centuries ago! I feel that the great Indian civilization was different compared to other Asian civilizations in the sense that money meant very little to society. India was UNBELIEVABLY rich until the seventeenth century; In fact, it was the richest country in the world until the seventeenth century. That is why money meant very little to them. Most social hierarchies were centered around the level of knowledge acquired.

Air Asia, Tiger Airways, Nok Air, Jetstar are some of the budget airlines that have routes in Asia, although very limited to and from Korea. Korean Airlines and Asiana have announced budget subsidiaries and Jeju and Hansung Airlines in Korea will begin international routes soon. I live in Asia and often find great deals through the classified sections in the local newspapers and local travel agents often on major full service airlines. For instance, from Bangkok, I've found that Air France offers one of the best fares to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The major carriers such as Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific and Thai Airways often have special promotions to other Asian cities, I'm sure Asiana and Korean Airlines must have promotions as well. Just like anywhere you have to check around for the best prices, check the local papers, the local travel agents and airline websites, there always seems to be some airline that is much cheaper than others on most routes. Good luck. http://www.eturbonews.com/1346/koreas-budget-airline-market-getting-crowded

Most Asians have very small butts (I've seen 8 get out of a Kancil for example) so I don't suppose they worry too much about the length. They could fit the whole extended family on a Western 3 seater LOL (Lucky bees). I bought a sofa here the size of a small boat just to see how many of my Asian family could sit on it at any one time, I think the record is about 8 at the moment! I myself have a large Western butt so demand a good third when in true spread out mode! Places like IKEA are good to look at bcoz they cater to all sizes and don't worry about categorizing how many people should sit on it. I'd offer a variety but don't forget that Asian culture means males & females can't sit together, most like sitting on the floor, it's mostly men that will sit on it, they only use sofas for visitors really and they LOVE Louis XIV style regency, pomp and chinoisery with carvings and gawdy colours, if possible a little gold too! The Chinese like their Rosewood though.

Please answer your question on only the quality of aircraft that all the air forces of asia operate. Please do not mention self-reliance in manufacturing aircraft. According to my opinion . Indian Air Force is the most powerful. As i have earlier mentioned you do not have to mention self-reliance. Indian Air Force, su-30 mki is the most advanced fighter in asia. The sites I've been on require me to choose a country and time i'd want to go but my idea of backpacking through southeast Asia is very unplanned. I'd like to just get the cheapest ticket in any one of the countries and then travel around wherever I'd like to go. How do I find inexpensive airline tickets this way without being specific when and where?

Try to look on specific airlines, like Cathay pacific, or china airlines. Something that has lots of the destinations you'd like to go to. Then, you can either try a one way flight to your destination, then once you feel like you only need a couple more days in that place, get back online and try to get another nonstop flight. You can also go online, and there should be some sort of "multiple destinations" option where you can choose how long you want to be in the places, and you'll have a flight to each place. Hope this helps a little, sorry I don't know more!
2 :
It's probably best to choose one city to fly in and out of and an airline and ticket that allows you to change your return date for a nominal fee if you need to change it. Airlines like Cathay Pacific have an All-Asia pass that allows travel for a limited number of days, but does require you to reserve all your flights. Budget airlines like Air Asia have very good prices for flights within SE Asia. Cities like Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong are major hubs that will normally have good prices to fly in and out of.
