What is the cheapest and productive route to travel around Asia from Tokyo to Bangkok?
Im  being an exchange student from April till August. On the way back to  Europe my ticket from Bangkok to Frankfurt. What is the best travel  option from Tokyo to Southeast Asia(Bangkok) and around it.?

This  is a little confusing?? Are you in Tokyo now? I think it is best to  look at a map, see which stops interest you the most and then get the  pricing from an airline and see what you can afford.

From  Tokyo? I'm not sure. But once you're on the main continent it depends  on how much time you have to travel. There are often cheap flights on  Tiger Airways, or the price of buses can be good too. I've had bad  experiences on trains though, especially in Vietnam.  As to a route, again that depends on time.   You could go to Vietnam, then Laos, cross over into Northern Thailand  and work your way south to Bangkok.  Or start in Northern Vietnam, travel south, and cross over into  Cambodia, and then Thailand.   It's really up to you and want you want to see.
