What are the most popularly played and watched sports in Asia, I assume its cricket in India and Pakistan but what about China, Japan, the Philippines and others.

Chinese parents no longer view sports as an active past time, it's now a chore to get their kids growing. Therefore swimming and particularly basketball became favourites. Football (soccer) seems not to be that popular in contrast to South Korea or Japan, we all know what's the reason behind that, right? China sucks at soccer, period. Although you must have seen China performance in the Olympic games, there are kids training vigorously to become professional athletes.
