what would happen if you fall in a tunnel from america to asia?
I've been wondering this for awhile. If there was a such tunnel that was from America to asia (that had a protective layer to prevent being burned). Would you fall continuously into the air and space?

umm. i think that is possible but youd probably die, get burned or suffocate because of all the air hitting your face at once .

No. Air resistance would make sure that you got trapped in the middle of the Earth (the oscillation would slow because of air resistance, and you'd just whoosh back and forth). However, this is a classic thought experiment; in reality, you'd be dead several times over, and it would be impossible to build such a tunnel for any number of reasons.

at some point where the two atmospheres meet, you would probably find yourself in limbo as gravity is a downward force.

U will be caught in the middle bcz earth's gravity will pull u only upto the middle....
