When did the first official persecution of Christians occur in Asia Minor?
I am interested to know when the first official persecution occured IN Asia Minor. I know the first one occured in Rome, under Nero, (and that was local) but when did it occur in Asia Minor? I would like to clearly state WITHIN Asia Minor, not in another country or province or the Roman Empire. I consider it official because it was the first persecution performed by the Roman Empire.

Jesus is the 1st official persecution of a Christian. From the moment of his death and resurrection, his believers have been persecuted. Calling it official makes it sound like is it acceptable, just the government doing its job. What is the official policy of the United States on persecution of Jews, Christians and Muslims?

It occurred towards the end of the reign of Domitian (81-96 AD). It is the background to the book of Revelation in the Bible. John addresses messages of hope and reproof to the seven churches of Asia. He himself had been exiled to the isle of Patmos.
